Marianne Verhagen has been practicing as a mediator for some years. She handled cases involving conflicts between foreign companies and their Dutch subsidiaries and employees, negotiations between boards of potential M&A partners, and handled relations between local government and real estate investors and various labour conflicts. She is also active in non commercial neighbour dispute resolution, family mediation and coaching.
Marianne Verhagen has broad experience as a lawyer and legal consultant, working at the Dutch bar and in various international and local companies and organizations. Ms. Verhagen practiced law for six years at the law firm of Nauta Dutilh in Rotterdam and in Amsterdam. Later, she held the position of in-house legal counsel at the former VNU Publishing Company (now the Nielsen Company and Sanoma), where she was responsible for the corporate legal supervision of Dutch and European publishing houses.
Ms. Verhagen worked as in-house legal counsel at Hausemann and Hötte NV (Jumbo game factory and publishing), as well as with an engineering and software company. Since 1995 to the present, she works as employment law consultant and mediator with RvdB, an HR recruitment and consultancy company. She is also associated as mediator with the consultancy company Dialogue BV.
Internationally, Ms. Verhagen has worked for the Max Planck Institute for Intellectual Property in Munich, completed internships with law firms in Paris and London, and additionally studied in France, Germany, and England.
